All systems are go for Seisiún, a unique festival taking place September 6 and 7 at The Stage on Suffolk Downs, with an emphasis on the hard-rocking, edgier side of Irish music. 

Headlining acts for the music and cultural event will be Boston’s own Dropkick Murphys and a special appearance by The Pogues, the pioneering folk-punk band. Also appearing are The Waterboys, The Hold Steady, Stiff Little Fingers, Cardinals, Lisa O’Neill, The Rumjacks, Just Mustard, Mairéad, John Francis Flynn, Holy Locus, and The Scratch. 

The festival will mark the first US performance by The Pogues in almost 20 years, and since the passing of former frontman Shane MacGowan in 2023.
